DAMAN

A few hours’ drive from Kathmandu, following a scenic mountain road with hairpin bends, brings you to the picturesque village of Daman. Located 80 kms south-west of Kathmandu, Daman is an oasis of peace filled with greenery and a popular vantage point to view the Himalayan peaks. Enjoy the invigorating mountain air, peaceful ambience and wonderful Himalayan views from this tiny village. During spring (February-March), the whole hillside is covered with a profusion of rhododendron blooms. Take a nature tour and explore the Daman Botanical Garden or stroll through the village. Hike up to the woods and visit an old Buddhist Monastery or a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Or just chill and enjoy the peace and the solitude of the mountains.
