Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu.1, 300m. 

On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received by our staff who will escort you to the Hotel, where our guide will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, Kathmandu, the Trek itself, and things you should & should not do with other related information that you might require while in Nepal. Your first overnight in the valley of temples and cows, probably the most in the world.

Day 02: Drive to Sundarijal & begin trek to Chisopani 2,340m 4-5 hrs

Lying to the north east of Kathmandu and only an hour drive away from the capital, the hilltop is renowned for its quiet surroundings and skyline views of Mt.Gauri Shanker, Langtang, Chobba Bhamare, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Himalchuli. After brekfast, our journey starts with an hour drive to Sundarijal from Kathmandu.

From this striking spot our walk begins with a gradual climb to the ridge passing through several small hill farm villages; the hike continues through farm fields and terraces and through the cool shade of forests to our overnight stop at Chisopani after 4-5 hours of good, healthy hiking. Views of Kathmandu Valley can be seen from this spot. It’s highly attractive, especially at dusk. Overnight camp or lodge

Day 03: Trek to Nagarkot. 5-6 hrs 

After a wonderful night stop here at Chisopani, early in the morning {probably the same time the birds wake up} would be the best time for views of the sunrise over the vast Himalayan range of peaks where we see the first red-silver glows of the sunrays peeking through the peaks, it’s a breath stopping moment that will probably remain with us for the rest of our lives. We then continue our lovely walk on a gradual downhill trail towards south east following the wider dirt road built by the Nepalese Army. After an hour on the good road we switch back to the off beaten small shortcut path down hill to Chowki bhanjyang passing through the army barrack; on reaching Chowki bhanjyang, a small rural village overlooking the eastern side of the Kathmandu valley rim comes into sight. From here, our walk continues on a winding gradual path for a few hours passing through Jarsing Pawa at 1,700m; at Jarsing Pawa, our route diverts to the upper left on the small path leading towards a small patch of pine forest, after an hour and half of cool gentle hiking, we then descend for a short distance to Kartike bhanyang. From this place, an hour of climbing on the wider track brings us to the popular mountain village/resort at Nagarkot for our overnight stop.

Nagarkot, at a height of 2,100 meters above sea-level, is a hill top visited for viewing beautiful sunrises and sunsets and visitors take delight in the layout of the Kathmandu Valley below. This cute little hill town is also world renowned as a favorite spot for honeymooners. On a clear day, Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Gauri Shanker and Everest can be seen from this very spot. The best views are always seen in the months of September & October. Overnight lodge

Day 04: Trek to Changu-Narayan and drive back to Kathmandu - approx. 1,550m. 4-5 hrs 

From Nagarkot, with the stunning morning views of the sunrise over the magnificent snow capped peaks, we hve our breakfast and our morning walk follows a winding trail with a few gentle down and up hills and some gradual sections, passing through a number of farm villages and cultivated terraced fields in this isolated area. This region is rarely trekked by westerners; & it will be a pleasant walk on this less frequented route for a while till it joins the main road at Changu-Narayan. Amongst the many routes which criss-cross this low land farmland, it is not always easy to know which the correct path to take is. It is always best to follow a member of the trekking crew at this stage. After some pleasant hiking, we come to a road head at Changu-Narayan; this is one of the best known historical spots with the famed ancient Temple of Changu-Narayan. After visiting the Temple, we drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 05: Transfer to Airport for your International departure.

Today, as per your international flight time, keep your confirmed air ticket, departure tax (in local currency) and your passport handy. Our staff will be on standby to take you to the airport for your final departure from this wonderful country, Nepal. It’s been wonderful meeting you, take care!!

Your accommodation in Kathmandu will be made in 3-4-5* star hotels Budget/standard/deluxe) of your choice. All hotel rates are based on BB unless otherwise stated. Accommodations in the valley are comfortable and as close as it gets to home. In Nagarkot, the hotel choices are just great and choices will suit any budget for a cool stay in this serene location. You will just love it.  Chisapani also provide a range of local village lodges that will suit your taste and budgets. Accommodations are never a problem in Nepal…the choices are exclusively yours.

The choices are a delicatessen’s delight in the valley for visitors with vibrant taste buds. You will find cuisines from almost every corner of the planet in this ancient city.
