Trip Information

Accommodation

Your accommodation in Kathmandu will be made in 3-4-5* star hotels of your choice. All hotel rates are based on BB unless otherwise stated. Accommodations in the valley are comfortable and as close as it gets to home. The nights we spend at the Kapan monastery are wonderfully clean and comfortable, the quiet and peace will stir your spiritual senses. Your stay at Nagarkot will be a delight to remember, most of the hotels and resorts hereabouts are enveloped within the lovely ecosystems of this great hill resort blessed by Mother Nature. In Pokhara, the hotel choices are just great by the lakeside, and it doesn’t get better than this. You will just love it. At Lumbini, the Hotel Hokke is immaculately clean and this excellent Japanese style hotel sells well in Lumbini. The Sri-Lankan Pilgrims' Rest House is a more modest accommodation that’s good enough; it is situated a bit further up from the main center of Lumbini though. The Lumbini Village Lodge is closer and provides rooms at economical rates, but the rooms are pretty basic at best. The options are many for your hotel stay wherever you go…the choice exclusively yours.

Dining

The choices are a delicatessen’s delight in the valley for visitors with vibrant taste buds. You will find cuisines from almost every corner of the planet in this ancient city. At Kapan monastery, the food choices are great and hygienic.  At Nagarkot, ‘A La Carte’ menus have a variety of choices to suit your likes, your stomach won’t be disappointed; if you are a foodie, the lake city of Pokhara has it all, it has to be with holiday making chefs from across the world who have visited this paradise. In Lumbini, there is only one restaurant though, the Lumbini Garden Restaurant, which is about a ten minutes hike from the center. The Lumbini Hokke Hotel (fairly expensive) and The Sri Lankan Pilgrims Rest House (very basic menu) are the only other choices one could get for meals. The locals feel guests need to make a few sacrifices when visiting the birth place of the Buddha. However, despite the circumstances, you won’t need to go hungry…the Buddha wouldn’t want that anyways.

Best Time To Visit

The best time for a trip of this kind would be in the spring and autumn.  It is wonderful during this time of the year when the skies are a sparkling blue and the landscapes found on these trips are stunning to behold. It’s also cooler at this time to visit the steaming Terai region of Nepal which is hot and humid in the summers. Our program could be changed to accommodate individual group choices and preferences in order to give you proper holidays that become signature ventures for a lifetime.
