Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu at Tribhuwan International Airport

Trip Dossier

Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu at the Tribhuwan International Airport

Our office representative will be at the airport awaiting your arrival with our office vehicle to pick you up and transfer you to your designated hotel.  After refreshing yourself, our tour executive will give you an orientation on your program. After this you are free to get familiar with your surroundings, this will help you to localize. Have supper and then get set for your first overnight in the valley of temples.
 
Day 2: Transfer to Bhote Koshi for rafting / O/N at the Last Resort

We drive down from Kathmandu to Khadichaur. After a hearty lunch at Khadichaur, all the vital information related to the trip is thoroughly explained before rafting. After this is completed, fully equipped and padded with our safety gear, we head for the waterline journey piloted by a seasoned river guide. We slowly Paddle along in tandem with the simmering river amid pretty landscapes, sublime wilderness and panoramic views of lush green hills, heading towards Dolalghat. Our waterline journey offers a relaxed floating afternoon with rich beautiful scenery and wildlife to view and photograph along the way. This trip could give you some of the loveliest pictures you could ever imagine. On reaching our put in point at Dolalghat, we come across well cultivated terraced fields and typical rural Nepali houses perched on the hillsides and slopes. This splendid adventure concludes for the day as we board our waiting vehicle at Dolalghat and drive for 2-3 hours to the Last Resort for our overnight.
 
Day 3:  From Last Resort transfer to Dhulikhel after lunch

After a delicious breakfast amidst the chattering of lively birds, we can simply go in for a host of activities that this great resort promotes, some of them are bungy jumping and tandem swing, and if you are more adventurous, you can also do canyoning; these extreme activities is good for the body which pumps adrenalin and gets the heart on a high. There’s a whole lot to freak out with at this resort. We have lunch and board our vehicle for Dhulikhel, where we can enjoy a fantastic sunset view if we make it just before twilight. Day 4: Sunrise from Dhulikhel /transfer to Kathmandu

After a cupper of Nescafe, we enjoy a magical gripping sunrise from Dhulikhel – witnessing the sun rising over the snowy Himalayan peaks with its red maroon glows and  shafts of sunrays ripping through the Himalayas is something you aren’t going to forget in a hurry. Your video cams are sure going to be loaded with pictures from this unique experience. We then enjoy a great breakfast, hike around this ancient town and observe houses of which some are over a century old and watch lifestyles and traditions that date back centuries in time. In the late afternoon, we drive back to Kathmandu for the night.
 
Day 5: Full day sightseeing Kathmandu/Bhaktapur/ Dinner with cultural program 

After an early breakfast, we set out on a guided tour to the primary historical spots in Kathmandu. We will tour symbolic monuments, temples, monasteries, palaces and UNESCO World Heritage Sites that include: Boudhanath, and the temples of Pashupatinath. As we stroll along the exotic locales of Kathmandu, more diversified cultural settings in the valley welcome us with warm hospitality. At Boudhanath, we get deep insights into Buddhism. This may invoke your spiritual senses. We next cruise down a scenic highway to medieval Bhaktapur. Spread over an area of 6.88 sq km, 12 km south-east of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon showcases the grandeur of the Golden Age of Nepali art and architecture. Built by King Anand Dev Malla in the 9th century, the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. It has become a model for heritage conservation since then. At the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, we will experience a fine examples of sculpture, woodcarving and pagodas dedicated to different gods and goddesses –a delightful attraction are the erotic statues of the gods in the act of Kama Sutra at Nyatapol & Dattaraya Temples, Golden Gate and the Palace of 55 windows etc. at dusk, we get ready to proceed to our hotel to refresh and then head down to an upscale Nepalese restaurant for a delicious Nepalese dinner, and as we enjoy our meal, we will be entertained with a scintillating cultural dance performed by the local belles. Day 6: Final departure transfer to airport for home sweet home farewell friends!

Accommodations in the valley are comfortable and as close as it gets to home. Accommodation at the Last Resort is superbly comfortable in a special way due to its wilderness settings and you’ll love the merry tunes of the chirpy birds. Residing at Dhulikhel is no problem with a range of hotels to suit any budget; the resorts hereabouts are comfortable and clean with most offering great views of the surrounding landscapes.  The options are many for your hotel stay…the choice exclusively yours.

The choices are a delicatessen’s delight in the valley for visitors with vibrant taste buds. You will find cuisines from almost every corner of the planet in this ancient city. Meals at the Last Resort are highly hygienic and tasty with a lot of home grown organic veggies. Meals at Dhulikhel are served ‘A La Carte’ with choices ranging from Indian, Chinese, Italian and continental food to suit your tastes any way you want it. Most tourists’ based hotels and resorts are sensitive to hygienic requirements in the preparation of all food and beverage items when catering to tourists’ visiting Nepal.

Best Time To Visit

If you come to Nepal and have a flexible schedule, then take the time to visit these places.  Nepal always has something to offer its guests.  During the peak season (October to December) and (mid of February to May), the stunning panorama of the Himalayas is at its crisp-beautiful-best, but there is really no season in which Nepal is not a beautiful or pleasant place to visit.
