Brief Itinerary

Day 1 :Arrive Kathmandu at TIA

Day 2 :Sightseeing of Kathmandu / Bhaktapur 

Day 3 :Fly to Paro transfer to Thimpu

Day 4 :Sightseeing of Thimpu/ late afternoon transfer to Paro 

Day 5 :Paro - Hike to Taksang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)

Day 6 :Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to Bouddhanath & Kapan Monastery

Day 7 :Final departure

Trip Dossier

DAY 01: ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU 

Arrive at Kathmandu international airport. 
Meet our representative and transfer to Hotel.  Free till evening.
After dinner drive back to hotel.  Overnight in Kathmandu.

DAY 02: FULL DAY EXCURSION IN KATHMANDU & BHAKTAPUR 

After breakfast at hotel, Visit to the heritage sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square (the house of living goddess KUMARI and the medieval royal palace of the Malla kings – 15TH century AD) & Swayambhunath Stupa (the oldest Buddhist Shrine much older than 2650 years from the present time, also colloquially known as Monkey Temple).  Lunch on the way and transfer to Bhaktapur.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square (the medieval palace with 55 similar windows and the famous golden gate, the sunken royal bath tank, the tallest pagoda style “Nyatapola” temple of Nepal etc – 14th century AD).  

After dinner, transfer back to hotel.  Overnight in Kathmandu 

DAY 03:  KATHMANDU TO PARO & TRANSFER TO THIMPU (2300M) 

During the flight, on a clear day, you can see breathtaking views of the Himalaya Mountains, including the sacred Jumolhari and Jichu Drake Peaks in Bhutan. On arrival you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. 

If time permit in the afternoon you can visit the following places:
-Kyichu Lhakhang
-ParoDzong

In the evening you can drive to the capital town of Thimpu.  After dinner, transfer back to hotel.  Overnight in Thimpu.

DAY 04: THIMPU SIGHTSEEING / LATE AFTERNOON TRANSFER TO PARO 

There are a good many things to see in the capital which has a very relaxed, laid-back feel about it. Thimphu is relatively small having a population of approximately 45,000 people and the streets are wide and tree lined. You will almost certainly visit the Late King's Memorial Chorten, the National Library, Drubthob Nunnery, Folk Heritage Museum, the handmade paper factory, the school of arts and crafts where young students learn the traditional arts and crafts (Zo Rig Chusum – the thirteen crafts), Gold and the Silver Smiths workshop, ZangtopelriLhakhang, and the Handicraft Emporium and the local handicraft centers to see the weavers at work and also varieties of textiles, thangkha paintings, masks, jewellery etc.After sightseeing in Thimpu you will drive to back to Paro.   Overnight at Paro .
 
DAY 05: PARO - HIKE TO TAKSANG (TIGER’S NEST MONASTERY)

After breakfast hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, which is Bhutan’s most famous monasteryIt is perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley. The hike to reach the viewpoint to the monastery makes for a nice half-day excursion. After lunch you can visit other important site which you could not complete previous days.

DAY 06: FLY BACK TO KATHMANDU & TRANSFER TO BOUDDHANATH & KAPAN MONASTERY

After breakfast, transfer to airport for Kathmandu flight. 
Arrive Kathmandu and our representative will receive the group, check in at Hotel. Then drive to Bouddhanath (It is the largest stupa in the Kathmandu Valley and is the center of Tibetan Buddhism.) for sightseeing. 

After lunch in Bouddha then transfer to Kapan Monastery. Just north of the ancient Buddhist town of Boudhanath is the Kapan hill, rising up out of the terraced fields of the Kathmandu valley and visible for miles. Dominated by a magnificent Bodhi tree, it was once the home of the astrologer to then King of Nepal.
Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

DAY 07: FINAL DEPARTURE

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to international airport for final departure.
