Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu

Day 2: Kathmandu - Full day sightseeing (Bhaktapur Durbar, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square)

Day 3: Kathmandu - Half-day sightseeing (Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath)

Day 4: Drive to Daman

Day 5: Drive Daman to Pokhara

Day 6: Pokhara - Sightseeing (Boating on Phewa Lake, visit Barahi Temple Bindhabasini Temple, Seti  River Gorge, Gorkha Museum, Davis Falls, Gupteswor Cave)

Day 7: Fly to Kathmandu

Day 8: Depart Kathmandu

Trip Dossier

Day 1- Arrive Kathmandu

Transfer from airport to hotel. A representative from our office will be there to receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport.  After a traditional welcome at the hotel, you will be briefed on your itinerary.

Day 2- Kathmandu – Full day sightseeing (Bhaktapur Durbar, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square)

Today we tour World Heritage Sites of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Swayambhunath temple & Kathmandu Durbar Square. Lying about half an hour’s drive from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur is a protected UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a joy to walk through the ‘vehicle-less’ cobbled lanes of the old city, exploring the pagoda temples and marvel at the exquisite workmanship of artisans of the Malla era. The Golden Gate, Datteraya Temple, 55 Windows Palace, Nyatapole Temple are some of the fascinating cultural gems of Bhaktapur.  We also visit Swoyambhunath Temple. Lying at the top of the hill, the temple is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Swoyambhunath’s origin is linked to the formation of Kathmandu valley. According to local legend the temple is as old as Kathmandu valley. Enjoy a 360 degree view of the city from the temple.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Kathmandu Durbar Square houses the House of the Living Goddess, Hanuman Dhoka Palace Museum and scores of pagoda temples and ancient structures. Though the2015 earthquake damaged some of the structures, rebuilding and renovation work is underway.

Day 3- Kathmandu - Half day sightseeing (Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath)

Continuing with our sightseeing tour we visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu shrines in the country. The temple is dedicated to Pashupati or Lord Shiva’s incarnation as the ‘Lord of All Living Beings’. We also visit Boudhanath Stupa the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal and one of the important centres of Tibetan Buddhism. Both Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Day 4- Drive Kathmandu to Daman

After an early breakfast we set-off for Daman, a hill-station famous for its panoramic Himalayan views. After a scenic two and a half hour drive filled with fascinating mountain vistas and quaint traditional villages we reach Daman. We check in at the resort and let the peaceful ambience of Daman lull and soothe our senses.    In the evening we savor the quietness and enjoy the sun setting over the green hills and Himalayan mountains.

Day 5- Drive Daman to Pokhara

We wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the Himalayan peaks. After a hearty breakfast we drive onward to our next destination, Pokhara. Crossing mountain brooks, Himalayan rivers and picturesque villages we reach Pokhara after a six-hour drive. We check in at the designated hotel and retire for the day.

Day 6- Pokhara - Sightseeing (Boating on Phewa Lake, visit Barahi Temple Bindhabasini Temple, Seti River Gorge, Gorkha Museum, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave)

We commence our Pokhara sightseeing with boating on the enchanting Phewa Lake. With the backdrop of the snowy Machapuchhre peak we paddle leisurely on the emerald waters of the lake, basking in the picture-perfect scenery. We visit the island temple of Tal Barahi. Later in the day we visit Bindhabasini Temple, Seti Gorge, Gorkha Museum, Davis Falls and Gupteshwor Cave. 

Day 7- Drive to Kathmandu

We return to Kathmandu overland, via the Prithvi Highway.

Evening, enjoy a complimentary traditional Nepali feast and a lively Nepali cultural programme.

Day 8- Depart Kathmandu

Our representative will drop you at the airport on time to catch your return flight.
