It’s a fantastic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a lovely sunny day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks that lie sprawling down below you are real exciting, beginning a whole connection of memorable experiences that stay with you for a very long time to come. And as your plane hits the tarmac of the airport, our waiting support team will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Welcome drinks will be served and this begins your first overnight in ancient Kathmandu where temples and cows abound in plentiful.

Day 2: Tour of Swayambhu, Pashupatinath & Bhaktapur /Transfer to Nagarkot

We begin our sightseeing tour with a short drive to Swayambhunath or Monkey Temple. "Swayambhu" signifies "self-created" and a myth goes that the hill emerged spontaneously from the great lake that once covered Kathmandu Valley. Our next destination is Pashupatinath Temple. Pashupatinath temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Shiva and is said to be the most revered shrine for hindus in Nepal. Hereabouts, you can witness cremation rituals of Hindus at ‘Aryaghat’, the cremation area of the temple. Our next stop is Bhaktapur. Spread over an area of 6.88 sq km, 12 km south-east of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon showcases the ancient grandiose of the Golden Age of Nepali art and architecture. Built by King Anand Dev Malla in the 9th century, the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. It has remained a model for heritage conservation since then. At the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, you will find many fine examples of sculpture, woodcarving and pagodas dedicated to different gods and goddesses – the Nyatapol & Dattaraya Temples, the Golden Gate, Palace of 55 windows that also has marks of bullet penetrations that tells a tragic tale of this once-upon-a-time independent kingdom. At dusk, we get set for a lovely scenic drive up to Nagarkot. Overnight at the tranquil hill resort of Nagarkot

Day 3: At Nagarkot – later we do a day walk to Dhulikhel and overnight at Dhulikhel

We get a wake up call with a few cuppers at early dawn for some phenomenal views of a spectacular sunrise where we witness nature at its best; this heavenly sight of sunrise rejuvenates our senses and stirs our emotions. We later return to our hotel for a warm delicious breakfast and then spend the rest of our day amidst the natural surroundings of Nagarkot. After digesting the charming landscapes and peace of Nagarkot, we set out for a guided walk along the sublime hiking trails to Dhulikhel. As we approach Dhulikhel, a welcome abundance of cultural diversities, interesting ancient traditional practices, verdant vegetation and rich birdlife unfolds before us. Dhulikhel has its share of surprising sunrise and sunsets that intoxicates our senses. We start with the witness of a stunning sunset which is a reward for the day’s hike we undertook. Overnight in the quiet little ancient Newar town of Dhulikhel

Day 4: Final departure for our connecting flight home sweet home

After making our day with a sensational sunrise view in the morning, we have breakfast and then go out for a stroll down the market place of this peaceful village/town, and we get awed by the traditions and cultures practiced by the local folks of this area who follow lifestyles that date back centuries in time. In the late afternoon, we return back to kathmandu in time for our onward departure home, or if we don’t have a flight on this day, we can opt for any extensive activities; if needed, please do let us know, we have a vast array of different programs that will even interest the discerning traveler, our ‘No frills’ prices will certainly not hurt your pockets.
