Day 2: Kathmandu- Visit Pashupatinath & Dashinkali and Transfer to Dhulikhel (O/N Dhulikhel)

We make an early morning pilgrimage to Pashupatinath Temple- one of the holiest shrines of Lord Shiva. Lying on the banks of the holy river Bagmati, Pashupatinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva’s incarnation as the protector of all living beings or ‘pashus’.  Pay obeisance at His shrine and ask for His blessings. We visit the nearby shrine of Guheswari, a temple dedicated to Goddess Sati and an important Shakipeeth.

Next we proceed to Dakshinkali, a shrine dedicated to Goddess Kali. The temple lies about 22 km (about an hours’ drive) from central Kathmandu. Set in an enchanting wooded area, the ancient temple was built by a Malla King. Locals believe that Dakshinkali is a wish-fulfilling goddess and flock to Her shrine to seek Her blessings.

After Dakshinkali darshan, we take a short drive to Dhulikhel, a picturesque resort town. We stay overnight at one of the beautiful resorts and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains from the resort grounds. On a clear day one can even see the peak of Mount Everest.

Day 3: Sunrise view from Dhulikhel, transfer to Palanchowk Bhagawati temple and drive back to Kathmandu

Dhulikhel is famous for its mesmerizing sunrise. The colours changing at the break of day, bathing the distant hills and mountains in hues of rose, pink and golden yellow is a sight worth witnessing.

After a memorable stay, we leave the resort and head up to the hilltop shrine of Palanchowk Bhagawati. This is an ancient shrine and the Goddess of the shrine, Palanchowk Bhagwati, is the patron goddess of Kavrepalanchowk district (where the shrine is located). Here the Goddess is worshipped as Adi Shakti or the female aspect of the divine ‘Shakti’.

After worshipping the deity and soliciting Her divine blessings, we head back to Kathmandu. Evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali feast and a lively Nepali cultural programme.

Day 4: Depart Kathmandu

Our representative will drop you at the airport on time to catch your return flight.
